Choose Life Regarding the NIH guidelines authorizing destruction of human embryos for research, Cardinal Justin Rigali, Chairman of the U.S. bishops Pro-Life Secretariat, said: “Without unconditional respect for the life of each and every member of the human race, research involving human subjects does not represent true progress. It becomes another way for some human beings to use and mistreat others for their own goals. Suffering patients and their families deserve better, through increased support for promising and ethically sound stem cell research and treatments that harm no one.” (USCCB statement 4/21/09)

Renew “Why Catholic?”… We will be signing up for the next “Why Catholic?” in September. It should prove to be a very enjoyable, interesting and educational journey of faith.
