WELCOME HOME We wish a warm welcome back to Father Ruane. We all hope he had a Great time in
Ireland visiting family and friends. Welcome Home!
DAILY MASS Since we will now get back
to our daily Mass schedule, I am hoping that many more of our people will avail of this
Great privilege for spiritual growth and strength.
MORE CONVENIENT Since Monday is Labor Day I though it
might be nice to give you a chance to sleep a little later since you wont be going
to work, so I will have Mass at 9:00am instead of 8:00am. Try to join us for
Mass and Happy Labor Day to all.
Catholic University Of America For more than 100 years, The Catholic
University of America, founded by the American bishops and chartered by the Vatican, has
depended upon the generosity of parishioners throughout the United States to help
financially deserving students afford a CUA education. Grounded in the philosophy of
Catholic intellectual tradition, students receive an excellent liberal arts education that
prepares them to make a difference in todays world. Please give generously to the
annual Diocese Collection for CUA today!
BISHOPS CUP If any of our golfers would be
interested in playing in the Bishops Cup golf tournament on Thursday Sept. 13th at the
Colonial Country Club, Jackson MS. Please
check with Father Ruane and he will provide you a registration form. It might be nice to try to have a team for the
first time from Saint Peters.
BIBLE SCHOOL It is one of our great, great desire
to have every child in our parish, little ones through the 12th grade in
our Parish Religious Education Program. So we will be holding registration this Sunday
after the Mass, for convenience, sake outside the Church.
There will be a $10.00 registration fee, if this will be a burden in any way let it
not deter you.
CHOOSE LIFE The arrival of prenatal
ultrasound and the sustained educational campaigns of pro-lifers have refocused the
publics attention on the humanity of the unborn child and the brutal facts behind
choice. (Wanda Franz, NRL News
June 07)

charities would like to invite you on our next hurricane rebuilding trip. Please join us
Sept. 19-23 in Pass Christian. All skill levels are welcome but we appeal especially to
