the protection of Children and Young People, all employees and ALL volunteers who work
with children and youth in parish activities are required to complete the Protection of
Children program this year, and every two years after. This includes nursery workers, R.E.
teachers and substitutes, Scout leaders and Scout volunteers, C.Y.O. leaders, Junior High
Youth Group volunteers, and all other adults who work with children on a regular basis
through parish programs. ANYONE WHO DOES NOT ATTEND A
P.O.C. TRAINING SESSION WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SERVE IN THESE MINISTRIES.
The training session has been
scheduled for this Sunday at 5:00pm.
BIBLE SCHOOL We feel we got off
to a very good start last Sunday, Thanks to Donna Mumme and all of the teachers who made
this possible. Thanks to parents and children for your cooperation. Let us work together
to continue to improve.
PLEASE NOTE - That we will have a class for 3
and 4 year olds in our Sunday morning Bible School Classes, all our children
of that age are strongly encouraged to attend.
POSSIBILLITIES Faith
makes all things possible; it does not make them easy. (anonymous)
CHOOSE LIFE Legislation to legalize
assisted suicide would establish ending life as an appropriate way to relive
suffering. Once that premise has been established, it becomes logical to extend what is
then seen as a legitimate medical treatment to the chronically ill, the
terminally ill at any stage, individuals in intractable pain and even those who are
depressed. (Dr.
Wesley J. Smith, The Southern Cross, 5/24/07)
USHERS AND LECTORS We thank our parishioners who serve as
faithfully at ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and
lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.
LITURGICAL MINISTERS During these holiday months
people are frequently out of town on weekends. Please contact somebody to take your place
if you are unable to serve on your weekend.
