Welcome Home We wish a warm welcome home to Father Ruane, back from his, well deserved vacation. We really missed you while you were gone. We all hope you had a Great time in Ireland visiting family and friends. Welcome Home

Labor DayIt sounds like a contradiction, but on Labor Day everybody usually rest from their labors. We encourage parishioners to participate in Mass, and to make it a little easier for those who would like to rest a little bit, even those who have no jet lag Mass on Monday morning will be at 9:00am.

Choose Life A former worker at a Dignitas suicide clinic told the London Daily Mail that she began to see the clinic not as a compassionate place for ending lives but as a money-making killing machine taking advantage of the disabled and terminally ill.  (Life News, 6/1/09)

                                                         PLEASE REMEMBER – TURN YOUR

                                                                    CELLPHONE OFF WHILE IN CHURCH!

                                                                                                                                                                                          Thank you for you cooperation.

Why Catholic?”… As described in former copies of our bulletin and will be further explained from the pulpit. This should be a very fruitful and enjoyable several weeks. And expect a gentle reminder in the form of a letter from Father Ruane. We will be signing up the 19th and 20th of September and we hope all of our parishioners will participate.

Rite of Christian Initiation of AdultsThe R.C.I.A. will resume in the fall. If you know of anyone interested in the R.C.I.A., or for more information, please call the Rectory at 662-226-2490 or let Karla know. RCIA is basically a detailed course of instruction on the Catholic Faith, composed of three parts; 1st Period: A time of questions and answers from the people interested. 2nd Period: The teaching and explanation of the main doctrine of the Church Faith. 3rd Period: Spiritual growth normally taking place during the Holy Season of Lent.

Bible School Instructions in our Catholic Faith is one of the more important elements of any Church Family. We are hoping and praying that all of our children, little ones through 12th grade, through the efforts of their parents, will participate in our bible school classes each Sunday morning, beginning at 10:15am for one hour.  Registration will be after Mass this Saturday & Sunday and also after Mass next Saturday & Sunday.

God’s Housekeepers for this month are Roseann Flem, Valerie Holmes, and Desiree Cook. Thanks Ladies!

Inspirational Quotes: 1. It is better to be silent and be considered a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. (Abraham Lincoln)

2. A skeptic is a person who, when he sees the handwriting on the wall, claims it is a forgery.  (Morris Bender)

3. What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. They are but trifles, to be sure, but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.  (Joseph Addison)

 4. “I can forgive, but I can’t forget,” is only another way of saying, “I will not forgive.”  Forgiveness ought to be like a canceled note – torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.  (Henry Ward Beecher)
