KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS & CHURCH FAMILY FISH FRY – This Sunday evening, September 9th at 5:00pm the new officers of the Knights of Columbus will be installed here at Saint Peter Church followed by a Fish Fry. The food will be served at the Family Life Center, as many of our Church Family as possible are encouraged two attended.

DAILY MASS – I hate to sound negative but the attendance at daily Mass has not been good at all. Surely, more of our good people at Saint Peter might want to avail of this Great privilege of encountering the Lord in the Holy Eucharist.

BISHOPS CUPIf any of our golfers would be interested in playing in the Bishops Cup golf tournament on Thursday Sept. 13th at the Colonial Country Club, Jackson MS.  Please check with Father Ruane and he will provide you a registration form.  It might be nice to try to have a team for the first time from Saint Peter’s.

RCIA – If anybody is interested and we hope there is some, in finding out more about our Catholic faith, or if you are not Catholic and are interested in studying the Catholic faith. Please let Father Ruane know or call the Rectory at 226-2490.

BIBLE SCHOOL TEACHERS – We will have a very important meeting with all our bible school teachers at 6:00pm Wednesday September the 12th.  We will discuss intent of importance before we begin our bible school classes on Sunday the 16th of September.

BIBLE SCHOOL – It is one of our great, great desire to have every child in our parish, little one’s through the 12th grade in our Parish Religious Education Program. So we will be holding registration this Sunday after the Mass, for convenience, sake outside the Church.   There will be a $10.00 registration fee, if this will be a burden in any way let it not deter you.

CHOOSE LIFE – U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R/NJ), authored the law, “The Stem Cell Therapeutic and research Act of 2005.” which provides for an increase in the nation’s supply for cord blood and creates a national registry to match cord blood for those in need. Stem cells in umbilical cords have already proven successful in possibly hundreds of cures and treatments.  Rep. Smith pointed out that, “Stem-cell research options that are ethical, that are already yielding successful medical therapies and that are showing promise for treating many additional diseases and conditions are the types of research where our resources should be invested.”
