EASTER GREETINGS
I take this opportunity to wish all of
our people a happy and Christ filled Easter and Easter season. May the risen Christ give us the joy and peace that
we can receive only through Him. Let us

PRIESTS RETREAT
From Father Ruane - I will be joining
Bishop Latino and a large number of priests from the Diocese of Jackson at St. Mary of the
Pines in Chatawa. The retreat begins on Monday
and ends on Friday. You will be in my daily
prayers, and I ask for your remembrance in your daily prayers. Check the bulletin for times for Communion
Services. (Father will be here for mass at
8:00 am Monday morning.)

DIOCESAN NEWS
The Jackson
Diocese Cursillo Weekends are coming soon. The
Men’s Weekend is scheduled for April 27 through April 30, 2006 and the Women’s
Weekend is scheduled for May 4 through May 7, 2006. The
weekend starts Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and concludes Sunday at about 5:30 p.m. Candidates are still being accepted. The Sponsor’s Sheet and Candidate Application
are available on the Jackson Diocese website at www.jacksondiocese.org/resources.html#cursillo.
As disciples
of Christ our joy moves us to grow in our Catholic faith and share it with others. Our passing the faith on to our children and others
is strained by a priest shortage and a mushrooming Catholic population. To meet these challenges, the Catholic Service
Appeal supports specialized diocesan-wide adult ministry and leadership formation programs
and workshops. The CSA also funds campus
ministry, RCIA, radio evangelization and outreach to inactive Catholics. Your pledge/gift to our CSA on May 6,7 will be a
light to the many people we serve.
