VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

We are hoping all of our children 4 through last year’s 6^th grade will avail themselves of the opportunity to participate in our summer Vacation Bible School this week from 9:00 until 12:05.  Frankie Fortier and a small group have worked very hard to prepare for this “Fiesta” Bible School.  Please have the children there around 8:45 on Monday so we can complete registration.

 

CHRISTIAN SINGLES FELLOWSHIP DAY

The 6^th Annual Christian Singles Fellowship Day is being sponsored by the Diocese of Alexandria on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 12 noon to 8:15 p.m. at Maryhill Renewal Center in Pineville, Louisiana.  Speakers, supper, Mass, fellowship, and fun fill the day.  Never married, divorced, separated or widowed persons of any age are welcome.  For info or to register, call (318)445-2401, ext. 225.  Cost is $18 if registered before July 7^th, $21 after July 7^th.  Additional cost if you wish to spend Saturday night at Maryhill.

 

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. FATHER’S DAY

There are many wonderful fathers.  We usually hear only about the bad ones.  On this Father’s Day, we pray God’s blessings on all of our fathers.  Let us show them our appreciation and gratitude not only today, but everyday for all they do for us.

 

HAPPY           We’re always grateful for happy occasions.  We are praised to rejoice with Joe and Katie Boone

  50^TH                   on their 50^th Wedding Anniversary.  We pray that this will be a very happy and enjoyable

                                milestone for them and we wish them many more years of weddedness.

 

LADIES AUXILIARY

There will be a Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus meeting on Thursday, June 22 after 6:00 p.m. Mass.  The meeting will be in the Education Building.  Please plan to attend.

 

A SPECIAL PRAYER

If a family member is missing or has grown apart from the family, we are always prayerful and hopeful that they will return back home.  We feel that way too about our church family.  So please say a little prayer each day for those who no longer practice our beautiful faith, that the good Lord will lead them back home.

 

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

There will not be any Women’s Bible Study this week, or next week.  It will resume on July2nd.
