RCIA

The RCIA is the usual way that people come into full communion with the Catholic Church.  If you or anyone you know is interested in the Catholic faith, would like a refresher course in the Catholic faith, or have lapsed from the Catholic faith, we will begin a very special class around the end of September or beginning of October.  If you have any questions, please feel totally free to call Father Ruane at the number listed above.

 

JULY 4

Please note that Daily Mass on the Fourth of July has been moved to 10:00 a.m.  As many are off that day, this would be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Daily Mass with your family.

 

SINCERE THANKS

Thanks to all of those listed below who helped to make our Fiesta Vacation Bible School so successful.  Our teachers and assistants were Dion Sones, Donna Walker, Teresa Lara, Carolyn Parsons, Aimee Alexander, Suzanne & Louis Matriscano, Cecily Johnson, Valerie Kerwin, Joan Stewart, Crispina Purvis, and    Ann Elizabeth Walker.  Our crew leaders were Brittany Mullins, Kayla Parsons, Trent Holleman, A.J. Logan, Karen Chan, Morgan Hathaway, Mary Kate Livingston, Traci Badome, Ciera Rice, Cassie Bennett, Paul Liberto, Jessica Rice, Ben Stewart, Nina Christian, Leigh Christian, and Brittani Rice.  Many thanks to all for a job well done!  Thanks also to everyone who helped out by sending in supplies.  We could not have done it without everyone’s help.

 

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. CONGRATULATIONS

We congratulate and pray God’s blessings on the following children:  A.J. Salinas, December Logan, Robert Logan, William Logan, and Cameron Logan who will be born into God’s family through the sacrament of baptism Saturday after mass.  May God bless them and their family and friends on this special occasion.

 

VOCATIONS

We rejoice with the Catholic community as three new priests were ordained in the Diocese of Jackson.  Congratulations to Father Mario Solorzano, Father Benjamin Martinez, and Father Lenin Vargas who were all ordained in June.  Please continue to pray for those currently studying to become priests, as well as for new vocations.

CHOOSE LIFE

Each Fourth of July celebration, our nation’s Declaration of Independence invites us to remember its words:  “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”  Let us remind others that unborn human beings are equally endowed with these rights by their Creator.
