FAMILY LIFE CENTER

Our parish Family Life Center (formerly Parish Hall) is coming along beautifully and is ahead of schedule.  When this building is completed, it is going to add tremendously to our Catholic family life at St. Peter’s.  Please stop by after the weekend mass, as some of you already have done, and see the progress.

 

I           Anyone who might be interested in serving as a lector or Eucharistic Minister who has not done so

F          before, please get with Father Ruane.  We would be delighted to have you on board.

 

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. CHOOSE LIFE

We live in a society that wants to wipe out human imperfection.  We attempt to control every aspect of our lives.  This attitude has led to increased pressure on parents to abort “imperfect” children, with doctors suggesting to parents that it would be selfish to give birth to such children.  Theresa Bonoparis, Partners for Life newsletter (Good Counsel publication), 11/05.

 

RCIA

The RCIA is the usual way that people come into full communion with the Catholic Church.  If you or anyone you know is interested in the Catholic faith, would like a refresher course in the Catholic faith, or have lapsed from the Catholic faith, we will begin a very special class around the end of September or beginning of October.  If you have any questions, please feel totally free to call Father Ruane at the number listed above.

 

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Knights of Columbus 3^rd  Degree meet every 2^nd and 4^th Sunday after coffee and doughnuts.  4^th Degree Knights meet every 3^rd Sunday.
